The wife of CSK captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Sakshi Dhoni, and actress Anushka Sharma were classmates in elementary school. Few people are aware that the two had attended the same Assamese school and that they apparently were also classmates.
Anushka and Sakshi can be seen smiling together in an old photo that has surfaced online from when they were both students. The images are from when Col. Ajay Kumar Sharma, the father of Anushka Sharma, was stationed in Assam. The actress attended St. Mary’s School during that time. The same institution served as Sakshi Dhoni’s place of education.
After finishing school, Anushka went into acting while Sakshi chose to work in hotel management. In a previous interview, Anushka Sharma mentioned Sakshi and remarked, “Sakshi and I lived together in a very small town in Assam. When she told me where she lived, I said wow, I have lived here too! She said I went to this school, I said I went to this school too.”
“And then I found a picture in which Sakshi is dressed as a fairy and I’m dressed in a Ghaghara like my favourite idol Madhuri. Sakshi is extremely funny,” she added.
Anushka Sharma will soon be seen in Chakda Xpress. The movie is a biopic on cricket player Jhulan Goswami.
